CONNECTION: BIRD CALL X CHORDE

Innovation, autonomy, and disruptive digital culture propel ideation and impact our daily lives, bringing us into new creative realms. Yet, our ability to connect with humanity can dissipate in the process. CONNECTION, a collaborative multi-media performance by CHORDE (Tomo Saito) and Bird Call (Chiara Angelicola), exhibits the nexus lost when self-centered creativity rewards the individual and diminishes the value of connection between the art, the audience, and the community. During the performance, CONNECTION welcomes awareness of the self through overcoming social risks and vulnerability, in turn, empowering our compassion and trust in others. CONNECTION premiered at The Lab in San Francisco in March of 2016.

RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN CONTRACT AND ACTION PLAN

X CENTER FOR SUPPORTIVE BUREAUCRACY

In the wake of a historic year of injustice, discrimination, xenophobia, and explicit acts of hate, Angelicola has designed an informal platform for citizens of the world to engage with on a daily basis both as a reminder of our responsibility and as our action plan as united citizens for all people regardless of their color of skin, culture, land of origin, gender, sexuality, or religion. The Responsible Citizen Contract and Action Plan is distributed by New York's Center for Supportive Bureaucracy. The contract has also been made available at the New Museum in New York City.
